A unique team format with a Funky twist! Each team will consist of FOUR PLAYERS (TWO WOMEN AND TWO MEN). Think of it as putting together two mixed doubles teams.
All of the players on a team should be in the same relative skill level. For example, if your team signs up for Rock Steady, our Intermediate Bracket, all players should be rated in the 3.5-3.99 range, with no player rated higher than 3.99. An ideal "intermediate" team will have an average skill level of approximately 3.75. Each team must designate a team captain who will be responsible for submitting payment, team rosters and mixed doubles pairings.

Format: Round Robin + Single Elimination Playoff
16 Teams in each bracket, split into four pools of four teams. Each team of four players will compete against each of the other 3 teams in their pool in gendered and mixed playing formats.
Pool Play: First to 11 (15-minute timed games). 12 Total Games (3 men’s, 3 women’s, 6 mixed)
Scoring: Side Out
Guaranteed Games: 5 games per player
Playoff: Funky Form Full Team Playoff. 8 teams advance, top two teams from each pool.
Teams will play ONE game to 15, win by 2 in which ALL FOUR PLAYERS will compete. Each doubles pairing will play in the same game in rotations — like a relay race. Pairs will switch in and out of the game EVERY FOUR POINTS SCORED in the game.
Example: Game starts with each Team’s Women’s Doubles pair. Once 4 TOTAL points are scored in the game (4-0, 3-1, 2-2, etc.) play is paused and then each Team’s Men’s Doubles pair will enter the game and continue where the Women left off (server remains where the last point was scored). After another 4 points, each Team’s Mixed #1 will enter the game, and then finally after another 4 points, each Team’s Mixed #2 will enter. If neither team has reached 15 points by this time, the rotation will start over, beginning with Women’s Doubles. Play will continue until one team scores 15 points, win by two.
Funky Form Full Team Playoff games are SINGLE ELIMINATION.
Prizes: Gold / Silver / Bronze Medals + prize packages

An all-day challenge court with the debut of an innovative new playing format: SET SERVE. Winner stays on. Challengers serve first. Whichever team has the MOST WINS and MOST POINTS win prizes and bragging rights as 2026 Court Champions!
Play Type: Doubles (All Gender)
Format: Set Serve
Instead of playing to a final score, in Set Serve each team will have a set number of scoring opportunities called Service Rounds. A Service Round is defined as each player on the Serving Team serving until their serve is broken by the Receiving Team. A team can only score on the serve, same as Side Out scoring.
Think of it like innings in baseball: Each team's Service Round is akin to a half inning. The Serving Team that goes FIRST is on offense like the "Away" team and the Receiving Team is on defense like the "Home" team. Once both players of the Away team have had their serve broken, that is the end of the Away team's Service Round and the Home team gets its chance to serve. Once the Home team has had its serve broken, that's the end of the Set or "inning."
Like in Side Out scoring, each player on the Serving Team gets a chance to serve and continues to serve if a point is scored or until their serve is broken. Unlike the 0-0-2 start to Side Out games, BOTH players get a chance to serve every Service Round from the start of the game.
TERMS:
Serving Team = Offense
Receiving Team = Defense
Service Round = Each player on Serving Team serving until broken
Set = Both teams having completed a Service Round
Rules: In Funky Challenge Court, games are 3 Sets. The Challenger team will be the "Away Team," serving first with both players having a chance to serve until each is broken. The final score at the end of 3 Sets determines the winner. Note: If the Home Team is ahead going into its final Service Round, the game is over, like in baseball.
Winner stays on, loser leaves, the next Challenger steps up. At the end of the competition, the team with the MOST WINS will be crowned Challenge Court Champion. Additionally, the team that scored the MOST POINTS over the course of the competition will also win a prize.
Scoring: Side Out, 3 Sets
