Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic presented by AMI and benefiting the AMI Mammo Van returns with a weekend full of festivities! Part pickle, part party, all sorts of fun!

The 5th annual event will kick off Friday July 25th with an opening night open play and cocktails at golden hour. A perfect way to do your final team prep for the Classic.

On Saturday July 26th, we have the 5th annual VENTNOR CLASSIC, the all day pickleball party you've come to know and love. There's a team tourney, live music, delicious drinks, and great grub from our friends at Nucky's and Ventnor Social!

Event Overview

Friday July 25

OPENING NIGHT OPEN PLAY (5pm-7pm) - Come by, have a drink, have a dink, and get in some last minute prep with your team and scope out the competition. We'll have a full bar, bites and great tunes jamming. No better way to start the weekend!

Saturday July 26

Funky Team Tourney (9am-6pm) - our unique spin on the 4-person team format. Each team consists of 2 men and 2 women. We will be featuring more divisions this year to offer more players a chance to compete!

Funky Fresh: 3.0-3.5 (max aggregate rating = 14.0)

Sure Shot: 3.5-4.0 (max aggregate rating = 16.0)

Rock Steady: 4.0-4.5 (max aggregate rating = 18.0)

Superfly: 4.5-5.0+ (max aggregate rating = 20.0)

What does "max aggregate rating" mean?

"Max aggregate rating" means the sum of your team members' ratings cannot exceed the aggregate rating of the division. So if you are singing up for Funky Fresh (max aggregate score 14), your team members should average 3.5 rating or below. For example, some players can have a higher rating than 3.5, so long as another team member's rating is lower to counter balance it. As such, the number one rule when it comes to splitting up divisions is simply this: play with respect and sportsmanship and DON'T SANDBAG because that just ain't no fun for no one!

Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic 2025 presented by AMI will benefit the AMI Foundation's Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van.

The "Mammovan" travels throughout southeastern New Jersey providing convenient, easy and accessible breast cancer screenings along with information to support Breast Cancer Awareness.  Funded by the AMI Foundation, the Mammovan travels to lower income regions to specifically serve women without health insurance and those with limited access to healthcare. The custom-built, 38-foot van is completely self-contained, offering the latest 3D Digital Mammography equipment, as well as a comfortable waiting area and private dressing room. The Mammovan will be on-site at Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic on July 26th offering tours, information, and screenings.  Women age forty and over with no preexisting conditions can schedule an appointment by calling  (609) 677-9729.
